In Sapphire Class, we didn’t let the snow and ice stop us from celebrating world book day. Today we could come to school dressed as our favourite book character.
During the morning, we also enjoyed a fun and engaging story telling workshop with Andy Messer.
As part art of celebrations in school we also had a door decorating competition. Each class decorated their door in the style of a book. We chose ‘Where’s Wally’ by Martin Handford.
We can’t wait to use our vouchers to get a new book.
On Thursday, Sapphire Class took part in the first ever BBC Supermovers live lesson. We were joined by lots of other schools from around the country and took part maths activities that got us moving. We had different dances to join in with and then used the live games to work out fractions, percentages and decimals.
We even received a shout out on live TV!
Supermovers was lots of fun and was a great way to get moving! We can’t wait for the next live lesson!
Yesterday in Sapphire Class we celebrated World Book Day. For one day only we could come to school dressed as our favourite book characters. Some of our costumes were amazing!
We also had to decorate our classroom doors for a competition with all the other classes in school. We decided to decorate ours like the cover of our favourite book, Gangsta Granny.
We had so much fun on World Book Day and can’t wait to use our voucher to buy a new book!
We visit Manor Top library every other week. We love to read new books.
Today we had a look for books by David Walliams, books about light and shadow, books about Islam and books about the Ancient Greeks.
