Contraction Surgery

Today in Sapphire class we all became surgeons! We even wore special surgeons masks! We used our surgery skills to make contractions from two words using scalpels (scissors) to remove the letters we didn’t need. We then used plasters to ‘stitch’ our new contractions back together before adding an omissive apostrophe. We really enjoyed being contraction surgeons and have secured our understanding of contractions and omissive apostrophes!
