Stone Age houses

Sapphire class received another email from our friend Stone Age Boy this week. Stone Age Boy explained that his friend OM’s village had been destroyed by a storm and all the houses had been destroyed.

We told Stone Age Boy that we would write him some instructions of how to make a Stone Age House so that he could help rebuild OM’s village. But, before we could write some instructions we needed to have a go at making a Stone Age house for ourselves.

And here are the finished houses…

Roald Dahl Day

Today in Sapphire class we had a brilliant day celebrating 100 years of one of our favourite authors, Roald Dahl.

We dressed up in some fantastic costumes, Mr little was very impressed with how good they were!

imageIn literacy we read and performed some revolting rhymes, including our favourite, Little Red Riding Hood and  the Wolf, we found it very funny.

In the afternoon we did some learning all about Roald Dahl’s Life, did you know Roald Dahl was a Pilot in the Second World War?

We even watched a live show on the internet.

Timelines

Today Sapphire class received another email from our friend Stone Age Boy.

This time he needed our help.

Stone Age Boy told us that because the Stone Age spanned 2.5million years he has no idea what era of the Stone Age he is in!

He asked if we could make a timeline to help him work out what era of the Stone Age he has landed in.

We each made an individual timeline in our books and created a giant timeline of the whole of pre history to send to Stone Age Boy.

We really hope this helps Stone Age Boy work out what era of the Stone Age he is in!
